Katie Crocker
CEO Designate

Katie Crocker is an award-winning community leader, advocate, and proud mother of two daughters, one of whom has a developmental disability. Her deep commitment to inclusion, social justice, and community development has defined her career and personal journey.
Katie first joined UNITI as a Board Member, where her passion for supporting individuals with diverse abilities naturally led her to step into the role of Chief Executive Officer (Designate). Prior to this, she served as Chief Executive Officer of AMSSA (the Affiliation of Multicultural Societies and Service Agencies of BC), a provincial umbrella organization representing over 90 member agencies and hundreds of community stakeholders serving immigrants and newcomers across British Columbia.
In her leadership at AMSSA, Katie played a key role in advancing collaboration and policy development within Canada’s settlement and integration sector. She represented the BC Settlement Sector on the National Settlement and Integration Council, the Canadian Immigrant Settlement Sector Alliance (CISSA-ACSEI), and the Executive Committee of the UBC Centre for Migration Studies, while also serving as Co-Chair of the Pathways to Prosperity Research Partnership.
Katie’s professional journey began in the field of disability support and education. Her first role was as a Child Care Worker with the North Shore Disability Resource Centre, followed by positions as a Respite Worker for the Squamish Nation Ayas Men Men and a Special Education Assistant in the Victoria School District. These early experiences grounded her understanding of inclusion and accessibility, shaping the values that continue to guide her leadership today.
Katie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, combining her academic foundation with decades of hands-on experience in community leadership and advocacy.
Doug Tennant

Doug Tennant is dedicated to building healthy and inclusive communities through advocacy, services, and housing. He holds a Master of Education degree with a focus on innovation in the arts and firmly believes in the power of creativity to cultivate spaces where individuals of diverse abilities can thrive together.
With over 32 years of active involvement in the Community Living movement, Doug has contributed as a parent, a worker, and a volunteer. He is recognized as an expert in governance and provides annual training sessions to provincial boards. Additionally, Doug has served as the board chair of both the Surrey Board of Trade and the BC CEO Network.
When he has the opportunity, Doug loves to spend time off the grid in the remote BC wilderness with his family.
Seema Tripathi
Director of Employment and Innovative Services

Seema has always wanted to work with people in a way that would empower them. That led her to complete her Master's Degree in Social Work. She works passionately to empower people to have control and choice in their lives. Through employment services, she helps people to have a full spectrum of experiences so that they can have richer and fuller lives.
Patrick Matiowski
Director of Development

Patrick Matiowski is passionate about community service and helping others. Since 2003, he has been a dedicated professional in fundraising and development, working both as a consultant and within organisations in the health and long-term care sectors. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree and a Certificate in Project Management.
Jillian Glennie
Director of Community Development Services

Jillian began her career with UNITI in 2011. She leads with heart and strategy to create inclusive spaces where everyone belongs. With over two decades of experience in the non-profit sector, she’s known for turning bold ideas into real-world impact, championing equity, and cultivating relationships that strengthen community resilience.
Stephanie Green
Director of Human Resources

Stephanie has provided leadership and oversight to the human resources department since 1998, when she began its development at UNITI. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Organisational Behaviour from Simon Fraser University. She is a proud mom of two adult daughters and a dog who keeps her busy. She enjoys her time with family and friends, exploring the great outdoors and travelling.
Brianna Hopaluk
Director of Community Services

Brianna began her career with UNITI in 2001 as a Child Care Worker at Peninsula Child Care Centre. After leaving that position in 2004, she joined the department now known as Community Services, where she currently holds the position of Associate Director. Brianna has vast knowledge and experience in leadership and community inclusion.
Jasper Macabulos, RN
Director of Inclusive Living

Jasper Macabulos graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and finished his Canadian nursing credentials at Thompson Rivers University. He started working for UNITI in 2013 with Inclusive Living Services. Jasper is a certified Person-Centred Thinking Trainer and applies these concepts creatively in his work.
Lise Boughen
Director of Inclusive Housing

Lise graduated from Trinity Western University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with a concentration in Human Services. She has been an employee of UNITI ever since her final year in university. Lise is passionate about assisting people to live the lives they want and deserve.
Mindy Liu
Director of Finance

Mindy Liu is a CPA, CGA, and MBA. She has over 20 years of experience in financial reporting, financial analysis, statutory audit, internal audit, and internal control review, gained through hands-on experience with both international firms and industries in Canada and China. Joining UNITI, she seeks to infuse her insights to drive strategic financial excellence and foster growth within the organisation.
