Our front desk associates are available to receive cash, cheques, and credit/debit donations at our main office, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, most days. UNITI’s Director of Development, Patrick Matiowski (ext. 604-536-1242 ext. 243), can meet with you in the office or at your preferred location. Here’s where you can give.

  • People report feeling more knowledgeable, confident, and engaged when participating in the Recreation and Leisure activities we provide, such as music, theatre, dance, fitness, sports, camps, and travel. Recreation and Leisure is an entirely fundraised program that operates solely on grants, donations, large-scale fundraisers and participant fees.

  • UNITI offers community services at two locations: our South Campus (15306 24 Avenue, Surrey, BC V4A 2J1) and our North Campus (13550 77 Avenue, Surrey, BC V3W 6Y3). UNITI’s Community Services provide services for people to learn new skills, have new experiences, and focus on reaching personal goals. We strive to connect people with resources, opportunities and other people in local communities.

  • UNITI is proud to sponsor the Self-Advocates of Semiahmoo (SAS). SAS makes change through positive relationships. UNITI supports SAS in collaborating on projects within the community, with businesses, non-profit organisations, and the government. SAS focuses on supporting accessibility and inclusion locally, provincially and across Canada.

  • Through Acquired Brain Injury Services (ABIS), people receive support and training in social development, self-care, community access and inclusion, volunteer opportunities, Person-centred Planning and more. We develop ABIS programs based on the values, interests and goals of people engaged in our services.

  • Having access to reliable and accessible vehicles is a key part of community inclusion. We have a great need to purchase new vehicles as our older vehicles retire and our programs expand. People using our services can get out into the community safely and more often thanks to vehicles funded through donor contributions.

  • Donations designated to the General Fund go towards the UNITI programs that need the most support at the time. Several of our programs rely solely on donations and fundraising. Your contribution to the General Fund helps us fill in those gaps.

  • When you donate to the Wish Fund, you help people we support achieve their goals and dreams. The Wish Fund financially supports people to access technology, equipment and opportunities that enhance their quality of life.

  • We provide opportunities for people to be leaders and to receive support in their personal and professional development, which involves accountability, responsibility, and teamwork. We believe that people need to make their own decisions and choose their path in a way that honours their core values, abilities, interests, and level of support at home.

  • Harmony is a 91 rental home, 6-storey inclusive building, in South Surrey. The 91 rental homes will be affordable and inclusive housing for people with developmental disabilities, essential workers, seniors, families and other people who are struggling with housing prices in South Surrey.

Endowment Funds

At UNITI, endowment funds helps people with developmental disabilities lead full lives. These funds provide financial support life/enriching activities and services that may not be covered by government benefits. Managed by RBC Wealth Management, these funds ensures stability and oversight throughout the life of the endowments.

Ankenman Inclusive Living Fund

A comprehensive fund which supports operating costs, unfunded programs, and program expansion at UNITI. 

Tennant – Job Fund

Focusing on leadership opportunities, this fund supports people to make significant personal and professional growth at UNITI. 

Wheeler/Soucy Fund

 This dual fund supports recreation and leisure funding so that people have better access to activities in the afternoons and weekends, supporting a full life. This fund also supports any unfunded program at UNITI that requires funding.

Dragonfly Fund

Supports the SHS Recreation & Leisure program by offering registration funding to families facing financial constraints, ensuring everyone can access and benefit from its activities at UNITI. 

Butterley Family Fund

Supports program operating cost, unfunded programs, and provides program expansion at UNITI.

SHS Employee Fund

Supports SHS programs by targeting areas of greatest need at UNITI.

Ruby Fund

Supports the Society’s financial stability by endorsing unfunded programs and services, contributing to its long-term goals and mission at UNITI. 

Independence Fund

Offer rent subsidies to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges who seek independent living but lack the financial means to afford rent at UNITI.

Ostheimer Family Fund

Supports UNITI and contributes to inclusive community services, promoting diversity and accessibility for people with developmental disabilities.
