Day 6: Hayley’s Hope

Hayley’s Hope

Meet Hayley—a vibrant 26-year-old South Surrey local with a heart full of dreams and a dog named Stella always by her side.

Growing up, Hayley faced the challenges of a complex seizure disorder that made being a typical teenager difficult. At Earl Marriott Secondary, she was always accompanied by an EA, navigating a world that didn’t quite fit her needs. But Hayley never let her diagnosis define her.

She’s now a proud athlete, having played Challenger baseball for over a decade and competing in the Special Olympics as part of a basketball team. She’s also an entrepreneur, turning her love for dogs into a dog-walking business that brings her both joy and purpose.

Thanks to advances in medicine, Hayley’s seizures have been under control for five years now. But even with this incredible progress, she still hasn’t been able to take the natural next steps that many of her peers have like moving out, decorating her own space, and hosting friends and family in a home that’s truly hers.

That’s why Harmony matters.

To Hayley, Harmony is a symbol of possibility. It’s the first time she can see a future where she lives independently, surrounded by community, dignity, and support. Harmony represents the cusp of adulthood, and your donations help make that leap possible for Hayley and many others like her.

This holiday season, help us build more than housing. Help us build hope.

Donate to Harmony. Help Hayley—and others—live full and meaningful lives.
